Victims of trafficking often endure significant challenges in accessing the assistance they need. This ranges from a lack of awareness about their rights, fears of retaliation from traffickers, and limited access to legal aid services.

Isue 5 of RSO Highlights looks back on the launch of a new practitioner guide series to strengthen support to victims of trafficking, RSO training for frontline officers in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, which has seen increased numbers of refugees making dangerous sea crossings, and ongoing work to support Member States’ response to trafficking into online scam centres.
